enter your real domain wherever
the FAQ says

1: Go to <b>Tools -&gt; Account Settings</b> (or Edit -&gt;
Account
Settings)

2: Click Add Account[/b] 

3: Choose <b>Email account</b> and click <b>Next</b>

4: Enter your (real) name and email address, then click
<b>Next</b>

5: Enter these values for server information:
- Select <b>POP</b> 
- Enter mail.example.com as <b>Incoming Server</b> (replace
example.com
with your real domain)
- Leave <b>Use Global Inbox</b> if you want to receive your
email in
<b>Inbox</b> of <b>Local Folders</b> else uncheck this
box
and Thunderbird
will create all the folders new for your new account.

6: Click <b>Next</b>

7: Enter admin@example.com in <b>Incoming user name</b>
- You can replace &quot;admin&quot; with another username
- You should replace &quot;example.com&quot; with your real
domain

8: Click <b>Next</b>

9: In <b>account name</b> you can choose anything for you to
remember well
this new account, should be different from other email
accounts, might be
the same as the email address.

10: Click <b>Next</b> and then <b>Finish</b>

The account is now created - and you can see it in the left
window of the
main &quot;Account Settings&quot; window.



<b>FINE TUNING</b>
Now the fine tuning of the fields listed under your
account:


<b>IMPORTANT: SERVER SETTINGS:</b>
In <b>Server Settings</b> make sure that <b>Use secure
connection (SSL)</b>
and <b>Use secure authentication</b> are NOT checked. All
the other
checkboxes are optional.
Do not click the &quot;Advanced&quot; button at this point.


<b>ADDING AN OUTGOING SMTP SERVER:</b>
This is how to set up a new outgoing SMTP server:
In <b>Outgoing server(SMTP)</b> choose <b>Advanced</b>
Click <b>Add</b> and enter these values:
-----------
<b>Server:</b> mail.example.com (replace with your real
domain)
<b>Port:</b> 25 (if you don&#039;t use a proxy)
<b>Username: admin@example.com (replace with real value)
[b]Secure connection:</b> No
-----------
Click &quot;OK&quot;


<b>USING AN OUTGOING SMTP SERVER:</b>
Click where it says <b>Server Settings</b> under your newly
created mail
account.
Click the<b>Advanced</b> button, and then <b>SMTP</b>.
Choose your new outgoing SMTP server and click <b>OK</b>.
