MySQL: How do I create a database?
|
You can create databases with the site owner panel.
First you need to login to the panel:
- Login to your account at EchoEchoPlus.Com.
- Click "Site Owner Panel" in the right menu.
In the Site Owner Panel, select "MYSQL DATABASES" in the left menu.
Enter a database name, for example "mybase", and click the "Save"-button.
When you create a database, the server automatically puts your username in front of the database name.
If user "testuser" creates a database with the name "mybase" the server creates a database with the name "testuser_mybase".
Important Note:
If this is your first database, it will not work till you add a MySQL password (with the "Change Password" link at the top of the MySQL pages).
You don't need to add a new MySQL password each time you create a new database, but you need to do it at least once - preferable just before you create your first database.
