Php - Dynamic Pages: Where is php.ini located?
The file "php.ini" is a configuration file for php.
You can change settings in that file to change the behaviour of php - this is obviously just for advanced users - most php coders do not touch that file.

The file is located in: /etc/php.ini

It's a plain textfile with many comments - if you're missing something you can find further explanations at the official php site: http://www.php.net
