Mail Program Setup: Mozilla Thunderbird
In the following, you should enter your real domain wherever the FAQ says "example.com".

1: Go to Tools -> Account Settings (or Edit -> Account Settings)

2: Click Add Account[/b]

3: Choose Email account and click Next

4: Enter your (real) name and email address, then click Next

5: Enter these values for server information:
- Select POP
- Enter mail.example.com as Incoming Server (replace example.com with your real domain)
- Leave Use Global Inbox if you want to receive your email in Inbox of Local Folders else uncheck this box and Thunderbird will create all the folders new for your new account.

6: Click Next

7: Enter admin@example.com in Incoming user name
- You can replace "admin" with another username
- You should replace "example.com" with your real domain

8: Click Next

9: In account name you can choose anything for you to remember well this new account, should be different from other email accounts, might be the same as the email address.

10: Click Next and then Finish

The account is now created - and you can see it in the left window of the main "Account Settings" window.



FINE TUNING
Now the fine tuning of the fields listed under your account:


IMPORTANT: SERVER SETTINGS:
In Server Settings make sure that Use secure connection (SSL) and Use secure authentication are NOT checked. All the other checkboxes are optional.
Do not click the "Advanced" button at this point.


ADDING AN OUTGOING SMTP SERVER:
This is how to set up a new outgoing SMTP server:
In Outgoing server(SMTP) choose Advanced
Click Add and enter these values:
-----------
Server: mail.example.com (replace with your real domain)
Port: 25 (if you don't use a proxy)
Username: admin@example.com (replace with real value)
[b]Secure connection:
No
-----------
Click "OK"


USING AN OUTGOING SMTP SERVER:
Click where it says Server Settings under your newly created mail account.
Click theAdvanced button, and then SMTP.
Choose your new outgoing SMTP server and click OK.
