After you have copied your Web page content to your site, you can preview it in a browser.
To preview your home page:
In the address field of a browser program, type your domain name in the Address field of an Internet browser. For example:
http://<domain_name.com>/
where <domain_name.com> is your domain name.
To preview other pages or files:
In the address field of a browser program, type your domain name followed by / and the new file name. For example:
http://<domain_name.com>/<filename>
where <domain_name.com> is your domain name and <filename> is the name of the page you want to preview.
Note: If you have had your domain name for more than 48 hours and cannot access it over the Internet, contact your domain name registrar to make sure the DNS information for your domain is correct. If your domain is less than 48 hours old, you can preview it as described below.
If your domain is less than 48 hours old, the DNS information for the domain might not have had time to propagate to all servers on the Internet, and your site might not be available for general viewing. However, you can still preview the content and CGI scripts used on your domain.
To preview the content of a new domain:
In the Address field of your Internet browser, enter the following URL:
http://<WEBppliance_server_IP_address>/~admin<#>
where:
<WEBppliance_server_IP_address> is the IP address of the server on which your site is installed, and
# is the domain preview number.
Note: The domain preview number is assigned when your service provider sets up your site. The number appears in the Web server section of the Configuration page.
