Changing your MySQL password

If MySQL is enabled for your site, you can change your MySQL password at any time. We suggest you change your password after the first time you log on the MySQL interface.

Your Site Administrator user name is your default MySQL user name and also your default password; however your service provider may assign you a different MySQL user name. If this is the case, then your assigned MySQL user name is also your MySQL user password. If you are unsure of your MySQL user name, check your Configuration page. Your MySQL (Database) user name is listed there.

To change your MySQL password:

  1. In the shortcuts area of the Home page, click MySQL Admin Tool (MySQL section).

  2. In the MySQL submenu, click Change Password.

The Change Database Administrator Password form opens.

  1. Note: Only your service provider can change the Database Administrator name, which appears in the Database Administrator field.

  2. In the New Password field, enter a new password.

  3. In the Retype New Password field, type the password again to confirm it.

  4. Click Save.
